Meet Rochelle
A LIFE OF MOVEMENT, WELLNESS, BEAUTY & ADVENTURE
I’ve spent most of my adult life exploring one simple question:
What helps us feel more at home in our bodies and in our lives?
That question has taken me through yoga studios, classrooms, treatment rooms, wellness practices, and eventually more than
12,000 nautical miles at sea.
Today, all of those experiences come together at Wild Salted Glow.
The path was never exactly a straight line.
I began my formal yoga training in 2004, and what started as a personal practice grew into a lifelong study of movement, breath, anatomy, alignment and the many ways yoga can meet people exactly where they are.
Over the years, I have taught and built yoga communities in New Jersey and Colorado, opened and operated studios, led retreats and workshops, and worked with students ranging from complete beginners to experienced practitioners.
Along the way, I’ve had the privilege of studying with teachers who have deeply influenced the way I teach, including Shiva Rea, Mukunda Stiles, Elise Miller and Tom Myers, along with extensive study in Vinyasa, Ashtanga, Yin, yoga therapy, anatomy, fascia, pranayama, Thai bodywork and more.
I’m also a licensed esthetician, Reiki Master and health coach, with training through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition.
But the education that has shaped me most hasn't all happened in a classroom.
Then came the sea.
My husband and I spent several years living aboard our sailboat and traveled more than 12,000 nautical miles, moving through the Caribbean, Bahamas, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic and the Virgin Islands.
Life on the water taught me things no certification could:
Slow down.
Pay attention.
Adapt.
Trust your instincts.
Read the environment.
Let go of what you cannot control.
There were long passages, beautiful mornings, difficult weather, unfamiliar places and an incredible amount of time to simply be present.
That experience changed me.
It deepened my understanding of rhythm, breath, balance, resilience and flow—the very things I had been studying and teaching for years.
And somehow, it all led here.
Wild Salted Glow isn't meant to be complicated.
It's a place to move, breathe, restore, care for your skin, learn something new and take a little time for yourself.
Yoga and barre.
Body rituals.
Reiki and wellness.
Spray tanning.
Health coaching.
Community.
Different offerings, but the same intention:
to help you feel good in your body and a little more connected to yourself.
My approach
I believe you can educate without making people feel intimidated.
I believe wellness should be practical, personal and enjoyable.
And I believe there is no single formula for feeling well.
What works for one person may not work for another. So I listen. I observe. I teach. I keep learning.
And after more than two decades in this work, I still consider myself a student.
I'm glad you're here.
Whether you come to Wild Salted Glow for your first yoga class, a spray tan, a body ritual, Reiki, barre, health coaching—or simply because you need somewhere to slow down—you are welcome here.
Come as you are.
We'll take it from there.
